Bernard, I know you've endured a number of shots in the Biotech Valuation thread (and probably others) about how TA is good in hindsight, but...

I had posted on the REGN in early June in response to someone anxious about come covered calls he had written that expired 8/3 at a price of 45. As REGN was in the mid 30's at the time, and overbought after a big runnup, and would need a gain that would have annualized to about 250% for the position to be in danger, I advised that unless he expected some particularly good news clinically, or perhaps 2 strong items, that the position was pretty safe. I added about the additive benefit of using TA to identify entry/accumulation and profit taking points IN CONJUNCTION with ongoing serious DD on the business case/fundimental side.

Got the predictable response from someone else about nobody making TA calls in advance.

So I posted the below response & analysis last night, where I compared the REGN overbought call & why (a little education on the indicators) with two recent oversold TA calls (ADIC & PTIX.) All have been pretty well validated.

Anyway, the point of this is not "yeah me" but to encourage ya'll to stick to your guns (graciously) and to be able to present the case to others when you have the facts.

IMSCO

Scott
