Knight: The reason the chips went up after their respective warnings was because it was not a surprise...EVERYONE and their mother knows the chip companies are in a recession. However, if you look at the Storage companies (EMC, QLGC, BRCD, EMLX)....the analysts and even CEO's have recently come out with bullish comments stating that orders have troughed and business has been picking up....This was a surprise warning - hence the rapid fire selling.... Good luck
