I must stick up for the kale. I worked for a number of the years at the Pentagon, where the cafeterias have southern style veggies. I guess that, when modified by southern style, I should say vegetables, not veggies. Veggies is so nouvelle cuisine. Anyway, that was the first time I had ever had collards, kale, etc. All the greens were cooked to death with vinegar. It took a couple of years of passing them on the food line before I tried them, but came to like them a lot.

Love mayonnaise, hate catsup. (Neither with kale.)
