<Actually I'm not that surprised with the warning. >

Yeah, right!

<I fail to see why people wish AMD to release new products when the fish are NOT biting on the current bait and switching bait isn't really going to change much.>

The problem, Milo, is that you generally "fail to see" anything. It is abvious to anyone who can "see" that having higher Ghz Palomino on time would have made tremendous difference to AMD's ASPs, market share and consequently AMD's bottom line.

In PC business, shipments of higher speedgrades disproportionately impact the bottom line. A 1.5GHz PaloMIA at the end of Q2, for example, could give AMD the same revenue as 5-7 800MHz Durons and significantly more in terms of profits.

<I personally wouldn't start flooding the market with higher speed grades or new lines, until I see some greater demand.>

Sounds like you personally choose being poor compared being rich?

<Why lay down all your ACE's on the table, when you know your enemy has only a few chips on the table to bet against you and you have 3 Ace's in your hand.>

Some kind of bizarre poker game I am sure.

<AMD should continue to pump out duron's as they do not cost much to make. >

OK. Now tell us. How much does a Duron cost to make and how much does an Athlon cost?
