INTC's q2 report should provide a fairly sound benchmark by which to rate AMD management. AMD's flash side seems to be the "large" problem at the moment. AMD's mission has been to increase market share against a much larger adversary and one with much deeper pockets. Much easier and more profitable to succeed in an expanding market than in the worst market in recent history. Nevertheless, so far AMD is succeeding in this mission and has so far remained profitable. Mr. Sanders stated that AMD's microprocessor cost structure is lower than INTC's. It's going to be very interesting to see how this plays out with respect to INTC q2 results.
