I guess what confuses and worries me is that the overhang, then, is endless and will never really be exhausted , at least not in our lifetime! Deals continue to be restructured,don't they? So that means new and new and new overhang. I guess what I am hoping is that soon, fired employees, dropped corporate entities etc will see their zillions of shares as an advantage, something to hold and cuddle. Will the shares then still be considered overhang?
