it's a foregone conclusion and has been occurring for a while now. greenspan has been printing money ever since he arrived on the scene, starting with the crash in 1987. then it was the s&l crisis. then it was mexico and latin america. then it was the asian contagion. and russia. and ltcm. and then y2k. and then the crash in tech. always some excuse he has for running the printing presses full bore. i believe he should do the exact opposite of what he has done. i think he shouldn't have cut rates and created this credit bubble. he is doing the exact same thing japan did, trying to interfere with the natural progression of the business cycle--and we will all have to pay for it if you don't take action to protect yourself.

inflation is here and has been here for a while, it just hasn't manifested itself in many commodities yet, with the exception of some energy related commodities. it's manifested itself in a stock/bond/real estate bubble. that's why people label it deflation, because they believe the governments bullshit statistics which show prices are low. well inflation is here and going to grow more and more pervasive, and it's going to show up in rising costs for raw materials and commodities.
