Technically, of course, you're right.

But to a large number of feminists, the accusation of rape is proof of rape. They claim that no woman would make the charge if it weren't true. (Twana Brawley notwithstanding; I know of feminists who are still convinced she was actually raped.)

Except when the alleged rapist is someone the feminists like. Then, suddenly, the principles change.

If it had been Bush she had accused of raping her (either one) on the identical accusation, you can guarantee that there would have been national headlines for months, and that the feminist movement would have been absolutely unified in the position that the accusation constituted adequate proof of the fact.
