Why did Gingrinch resign under a cloud if he was such a big success? Don't fool yourself. Clinton not only defeated him but showed that Gingrinch was dead wrong about the economy and many other issues. Clinton proved it the old-fashioned way. Hard work and results. Not just rhetoric or playing to special interests funneling in soft money.
