wow...we really got different pictures, Charlie. Did the preference reset take for you with their codec? I agree about the idealized streaming ( with probably ultra low traffic..these were just models). Lemme revisit the site and the check the stats.... Just did that on the 220K Dr.Doolitle trailer stream.. Wouldn't let me switch the real player and wouldn't let me check the stats. My picture was, again, letterboxed. No stills. Not terrifically sharp ( sharper at higher streaming rates of course) but smooth motion and excellent color. But again, that is idealized conditions and at a streaming rate 43% higher then ITG's highest average. I am not saying the ONT codec is better, Charlie. Just saying it is probably pretty close, and that the two companies seem to be the only ones out there offering sharp improvements on the mainstream ( has anyone seen a stream from that French company that was making outlandish claims?). In any case, it isn't technical excellence that usually wins the day in the tech world....it is sales. Here to more sales and partners for Ampex.
