i think his range has held up well if you wanted to trade it, where others have been waiting (and trading too), for the extreme resolution they see coming in time.

i'm still poking around, but i thought it was interesting (to me) to find some of the stories people were writing in the last year or three, to see how their views have played out thus far.

I've also been thinking about the (now) complete (or nearly complete) commoditization of technology from the ground up....all of it now just so much corn seed duking it out against the forces around it... in some cases, there is little that differentiates the farm story (and farmer's) from so many server farms today (and server makers, chip makers)... even the data harvest in some ways has lost it's killer information status in some ways, and perhaps in some very important new ways... i.e. begging the question, the market for information in a recession/depression.. does it not lose worth in a time of shrinking consumption, the forces of privacy, all of it an imaginary product that ceases to exist if you turn off the machine where it is stored... I'll stop now. this could get really boring.
