I think the subject is just too complicated. Your list of categories seems to indicate that. In a funny way, I'm not so sure it would be a good idea to make this overly accessable. I have found myself thinking "if only I had known about this sooner", only to realize that it might not have been such a good idea at earlier points in my investing career. It strikes me that anyone in a position to try this without risking the whole enchilada, and with the interest, will do the digging. In fact, in my current situation I don't have the time to give the subject the attention it seems to deserve. I've read some interesting posts about other strategies that sound promising, and I hope to SLOWLY try one or two of them out. If it was too easily spelled out, I might be tempted to rush into things I'm not ready for. You used the word "ruminate". That's one of my favorite words, and describes the process that works best for me in coming to a lot of decisions.

I also think that the tone of the thread is very helpful and that anyone with a question will be directed in the right direction.

It was a generous and noble thought though.
