Off topic -- In-N-Out Burger is going public, according to the August 2001 issue of Wired (magazine).

(There is a little "blurb" on "physicist turned venture capitalist" Kathryn Gould of Menlo Park-based Foundation Capital, on page 64.

She believes that certain high-profile IPOs (like that of eBay, right after the Russian financial default in late 1998) can turn the psychology of the IPO market.

And, In-N-Out Burger may be the next "watershed" IPO ...)

My prediction :

If and when In-N-Out Burger goes public, you will have a situation similar in MANY ways to Krispy Kreme.

Just buy it !

As the saying goes ... "You heard it here, first !"

Jon.

P.S. As always, I highly recommend Wired magazine. I think it is still only $12 per year; and you can subscribe online, at their website :
