Oxygenators cause a more complete burn of the gas so there are less pollutants. MTBE causes cancer and pollutes the water. It doesn't break down. It has caused some California water supplies to be abandoned. It only worked until the engine came up to full operating temperature. Ethanol causes a more complete burn whenever the engine is running plus it replaces 10% of the gas. The Indy 500 is run on 100% pure ethanol. Feel free to ask any questions.
