How many Democrats in congress and elsewhere helped him win re-election time and time again? How many sent him checks, held roasts, coffee fund-raisers, stumped for him, manned the phone banks, stuffed envelopes, and hung yard signs? Puleeze! Running away from one of your party members when the chips are down, is typical of a party full of people with no courage, who shift beliefs at each turn in the polls. What happened, did Condit's recent poll numbers show he might cost the Demolibs some votes??
