Get a life jlallen! That's not criticism, that's irony. One should laugh at the ironies in life. You'll live longer. I'm sure that GW Bush and Dick Cheney laugh every day.
What did GW Bush say at the press conference after his first meeting with Prime Minister Blair... it was something close to "The thing that the Prime Minister and I [Bush] have most in common is that we share the same brand of toothpaste." That's humor [I hope], though Blair didn't seem to get a laugh at it. That's his problem.
Besides this is part of the intermission show entertainment...
Damn, I bet I forgot to make that announcement.
What world class game doesn't have some break for relaxation? The seventh inning stretch, the intermission, the half-time show? And that's exactly what we have here for the jlallen Summer Games. As proud host and moderator of the jlallen Summer Games I've arranged some entertainment for the transition between games 1 and games 2 of the jlallen Summer Games. [Insert sound of Olympic style horns].
Perhaps the intermission program would be of help. First we started off the the Political Trivia for Conservatives Game [sadly, short-lived]. Recall the multiple choice question on unloved children. Without a single conservative response to the question, it was kindly pointed out to me that such a game was simply "Not fair". Answering those question required some reading on the part of the conservative players. I had to agree. In retrospect, choice E. Slobodon Milsovic, may have thrown the constestants into a state of paralysis. So that game ended.
We are now into the second part of the entertainment program for the intermission of the jlallen Summer Games. Humor exacted from political reality, e.g., the irony and humor of the Mexican border. It's a sit back and relax with popcorn in one hand and your mouse in the other. Or whatever it is that you prefer to have in your other hand.
I suppose it would be worthwhile to mention the next item in the program. It's called "Who is that Conservative?" In Who is that Conservative, I'll be constructing artificial dialogues between a conservative and liberal [no direct quotes as hints.], just illustrative converstations between a liberal and a conservative. The object of the game will be for the liberals to guess Who is that Conservative?. I expect we'll have a lot of fun with that one.
A hint at Game 2 of the jlallen Summer Games might be appropriate to mention here. Let me just say that it's The Testimonial Game. A number of conservatives have been auditioning for the front position in The Testimonial Game. They all did quite well. But there was one that stood out among the crowd. The lead or first contestant in The Testimonial Game is none other than...... our very own ..... drum roll please .... da, da, da, da, da, da,.....
