The key to keeping a message board un-moderated is liberal use of the ignore function. When one responds to an antagonistic poster with pleas, arguments, refutations, whatever...all that is accomplished is to ensure that the poster knows that others are reading their drivel, thus providing the audience they crave. No response of any kind...to the specific message or the contents therein...will speed a rapid departure. No one will continue to post messages for very long that others do not read. BP
