Gus, I have been away for a few days and to my Great surprise things have shifted from Jews and Arabs toward Chinese....Chinese of course are Jews of Asia, (excluding numbers naturally) that is in a sense that they live in many countries, are generally very prosperous (better of than natives), have very close (business) ties across the continents, raising similar issues as to why is that? "Loyalty", "Do they think they are better than us" and ultimately "we are going to show them their proper place..." In fact you have hit on something there (on your loyalty "thesis")...Absolutely one must have "dual" loyalty in order to first survive and prosper in "adopted" country and second manage not to assimilate (spiritualy) if not genetically at the same time...an impossible task indeed absent prosecution....Of course Jews in Nazi Germany were the most obedient group, as are Now-days Chinese in say Indonesia....
Naturally Diaspora Jews have far greater stake in Israel survival (China "survival" is not an issue, is it <ggg>)
