Phoenix Airport can be a nightmare. I've never been there that I haven't had a long layover. There is a bar there where the bartenders know me on sight. Come to think of it, that happens a lot. A number of years back I was in the 21 Club in NYC. I asked the bartender about this bartender of some repute there. Seems the guy remembered everyone and what they drank. I was there about twenty minutes and it was the only time in my life I drank vodka gimlets. Well, the guy was friendly; told me about how good that other bartender was and I left. That was just before Easter. Around Thanksgiving I stopped in and asked for the bartender I had 7 or 8 months before. I recalled that he was a teacher at St. Anne's nearby and was told he would be in shortly. Just then the guy shows up and I say hello. Right away he said "Hi! You're the engineer from New Jersey who drinks vodka gimlets, aren't you?" Some guys are spooky. -------------------------------------- Well, I mentioned it to J and naturally we have to see how things play out. Heat bothers me a lot but most of the time we're indoors anyway. August is coming up quickly. If it works I'll let 'cha know. But a lot has to happen between then and now for it to work.
