I think the comment about NAS and SANs not improving the performance or reliability of standard legacy SCSI says it all. Very weak argument. The only argument that has any merit is on valuation. Any review of the big SANs out there shows that the technology is a lot more than hype.

But then again, the votes are already in - people are clearly buying it. From various discussions about qualification cycles, I doubt that any serious IT purchases were made on the basis of hype.
