Washington Voters voted out the car license tax which had mostly funded mass transit, including the ferries. Since most of the wealthy and influential ferry riders are down sound, on the Seattle, Vashon, Bremerton, etc. runs, guess where most of the available remaining money is going??
If we didn't have any tourists, the ferry service would be fine. But as it is, well, how does waiting in line six hours for a ferry sound to you?
