The market discounts nothing. This six month thing is repeated so often that its as famous as the welfare lady driving a Cadillac to pick up food stamps. Why would any investor want to hold a stock that was likely to head south for the next six months on the assumption that six months later business will get better?. Why not sell the stock now and buy it back in six months?

If I thought a stock was heading south for a while I would sell it tomorrow on the open. Losses do not look better as they get larger.

You do have a smaller tax gain if you sell at a lower price, but that program is just plain dumb, dumb, dumb!!!!

Time to wake this thread up... reality check in order..

Regards, Jerome
