cj, During the '70s in particular, the homeless for the most part were single and had some form of mental illness. It wasn't until the '80s that we had entire families that were homeless in any numbers... If you call a single woman with children a family, you are right, but that problem (number of single mothers) grew over time from 60s, 70s 80s and so on. Kind of undermining the cause {Ronald Reagan = the source of all evil} and effect of the 2nd part of your post. Joe PS: I see you guys are still at it. Keep it up. This post is kind of a drive by shooting. I have to run and catch up with other threads.
