I seriously doubt that there could ever be enough "independent corroboration" to convince you of something that you clearly do not want to be true.

Maybe, maybe not. Since there is no independent corroboration of any kind, it's a moot point. If a member of David Koresh's sect told you that ol' Dave had been seen walking down the street, would you accept the story at face value or would you assume that it was false, unless others who were not members of the sect confirmed the story?

Hell's theme song will be, "I did it my way".


You're doing it your way, every bit as much as I'm doing it my way. The difference is that I admit that my way is mine, while you pretend that your way is God's. I have no problem with that; it obviously makes you feel good and it takes no skin of my butt, but the notion that your way ought to be everybody's is a bit unsettling.
