The reason I invest mainly on Semi-equip Companies is that they always have things to do whether the the economy is doing good or bad. AMAT foe instance have several months backlog even though the B2B is less than 50. And it's nice to know that whoever wins in the Chip making Competition, AMAT @ Co. (whole semi-equip group) stands to benefit because it supplies the weapons to all combatants.

(I used to work as a Printed circuit Board designer for Ampex, the pioneer in Audio and Video recording. They kept me busy working 17 hours overtime for 16 years by letting me design different versions of the same board to accommodate different formats - Ntsc, Pal-M Pal, Secam etc and also incorporating in the design the ability to use alternative components in case the main component being used is not available during manufacturing time)
