Francois - the Queen of Short Sellers prefers the whole abalone, fresh. He then sprinkles it with some sort of lubricant (whatever he must grease the palms of the SEC guys with), and stands it on end at the top of a stool. Carefully lowering himself onto said greased abalone, the Queen of Short Sellers then proceeds with the cramming ritual, whereby the entire abalone is engulfed.

This particular cramming ritual is apparently familiar amongst the SanFran moustached cognoscenti as the "Worthington Wiggle" - and usually causes a very bad attitude to ensue, often erupting in false accusations of homosexuality in an attempt to silence his critics... obviously bottom of the barrel tactics, but who can blame an ignorant abalone-cramming slob for not knowing what a Coogi is?
