I use paper entries and of course have my trades summarized at my brokerage( Brown & Co. and Dreyfus), but I am looking for software where I will be able to enter a call or a put and let it keep track of it for tax purposes.

Phillip,

I suspect I'm like you. I use an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of my covered calls for both tax purposes and to keep track of the income flow since that money is earmarked for monthly income. My brokers keep good records for tax purposes which, at least in one case, I can access at any time I wish. They are about a day out of date.

If someone had a generic Excel spreadsheet worked up, it might help.

John
