Quantum Tech, Pinnacle West In Fuel Cell Devt Pact

IRVINE, Calif. -- Quantum Technologies Worldwide Inc., a unit of Impco Technologies Inc. (IMCO), entered into an alliance with Pinnacle West Capital Corp. (PNW), parent firm of Arizona Public Service, to develop infrastructure needed for hydrogen fueled vehicles.

In a press release Monday, Quantum said it would supply composite hydrogen and compressed natural gas storage tanks and control systems to Pinnacle for stationary fuel cell power plants and blended fuel dispensing stations.

Pinnacle West also engages in real estate development and venture capital investments.

Impco, Quantum's parent company, supplies gaseous fuel management services to the original equipment manufacturer market.

Nasdaq-listed shares of Impco recently traded at $26.56, down $2.24 cents, or 7.8%, on composite volume of 259, 300 shares. Average daily volume is 297,126 shares.
