The story was informative, but the amount of data discussed, being in the tens of GigaBytes, is almost quaint in comparison to the daily turnovers of some larger industry players. Some enterprise archives slosh around several TeraBytes per day, sometimes weekly, over the WAN and metro campuses. Of course, these flows take place over private line facilities (enterprise backbones made up of OC 12s and OC 48s) and will never show up in the totals that are published for Internet usage.
