More news on the 'merger'. Someone's really trying to use
this info to push the stock up. Can anyone find anything
on Colonial Coffee Roasters? I almost bought a stake in java
a few weeks back but I was bottom fishing and my order didn't
get filled. I'm not sure if I want to buy in now or not.

COCONUT CREEK, Fla., June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Food Concepts, Inc.
(BB: JAVA) today announced that the meeting on June 13, 1997,
to discuss a possible merger with Colonial Coffee Roasters, of Miami, FL, made
significant progress. Continuing discussions are expected to produce a
definitive agreement over the next several weeks. Combined revenues of the
two companies would more than double the existing sales of Food Concepts, Inc.
The planned merger would not only add over a million dollars in revenues to
Food Concepts, but also would increase their roasting capacity three-fold. |
