you miss my most basic of points on 401k in order to manage successfully you need not be an expert in finance nor an expert in reading economic trends but you do need to have strong emotional self-control GET IT? it goes up, buy more when greedy it goes down, sell when nervous and scared sold the lows, then buy the next sector heading down miss the rally, buy late before a decline GET IT? dont continue if you dont understand this basic premise it requires both basic intelligence and basic emotional control if you lack the first, then you are probably ok if you lack the second, then you are probably not quit preaching with your inadequate understanding of the problem !!! / JW
