The best journalistic work I saw on the FDA was in Forbes about 7-8 years ago. A couple years later, there was some decent legislation passed that moved the FDA process along. Time for more work by another enterprising publication or two? The safe road for the FDA is to do nothing, but that shuts down the medical research system, and people die unnecessarily. Once in a while, that needs to be pointed out in a large public forum...
