CoSine strikes two new VPN deals
By Total Telecom staff

10 July 2001

California-based CoSine Communications has won two separate contracts to provide its IP VPN platform to Germany's Arcor AG & Co. and Netesi, an Italian ASP.

Service provider Arcor will deploy the CoSine IPSX 9000 Service Processing Switch during Q3 this year to provide dial IPSec VPNs to corporate customers.

Netesi will use the platform to launch bundled VPN and managed firewall services over its DSL network.

"Netesi recognizes that the current CPE-based options for securing applications are often cumbersome, expensive, and do not scale very well," said CoSine's chief executive Dean Hamilton.

Both Netesi and Arcor will use CoSine's InVision service management and provisioning system, and its Reliance product technical support program.

Financial details of the contracts were not available.
