A long time ago some congressmen were paying their daughters and sons for licking stamps when actually the kids were in college. This became quite a scandal, and as a result Congress passed a law that prevented the sons and daughters of federal employees from working for the same agency. This was a great disservice to many of my friends who wanted to become foresters because they admired their forester dads. The government was a major employer of foresters, and this dashed the hopes of many. I didn't bother me because my Dad had his own business that had nothing to do with forestry.
