John, silver made a new low for the move unconfirmed by gold recently...i see that as a positive, technically.
from a longer term fundamental perspective it's just a matter of time until the severe depletion of above ground stocks and the persistent supply/demand deficit lead to higher prices imo.
if you're patient this may be a good time to initiate a long position trade...the recent low was a 5,000 year price low adjusted for inflation.

re. the dollar, i find it most interesting that today's weakness is ascribed to the Argentine crisis...first time that money flees to the Euro as a safe haven. note also the many oscillator divergences on the weeklies as well as the recent exhaustion gap on the daily.
