No, please don't. These are, I think, vitally important issues to discuss if we are to keep a free society. We seem to have gotten some clarification and agreement about your view about government objectivity -- that it might not be true in applying policies on the individual employee level, but that reviewed committee reports issued for publication are generally objective and unbiased. Maybe I was unfair to bring up the House Impeachment report; if so, I'm sorry for a cheap shot.
But you haven't yet talked about the, to me, more important issue of whether the people who go into government in the first place, particularly into policy making positions, start with a bias which can't help but color their work. For example, how many of the reports that you think are fair and objective come to the conclusion that no government intervention is necessary and the marketplace is working just fine? I don't know, though I haven't seen many of that sort.
You worked in government for a long time. In your experience, did the people in policy making positions in government tend to mirror the general population's view of the proper balance between government control and individual liberty?
