Hi Hon,

I just read your note to Bill. He says to ask them to put it up on a lift and point out where the damage is. It had to have been hit pretty hard in order to bend the strut. For instance, it could happen if he whacked a curb pretty hard while parking.

He's also suggesting your son get a second opinion from another Nissan dealer before going ahead. So, "yes it's possible the strut is bent, no the price doesn't seem absurd, but boy I'd have someone else look at it too" is the verdict from your friendly neighborhood boatbuilder.
