Something just occurred to me in taking a quick look thru some of that stuff from the click and clack idiots.

I use a manual transmission, which is incompatible with using a hand held, at least when making turns or other situations where I'm shifting. I find it really hard to believe that hands free kits have "no effect". I'd find statistics claiming that to be suspect, it just defies common sense. Why don't they claim that shifting is dangerous, particularly when making a left turn while they're at it?

I don't live in New York State but I'd just rather have a consistent law than a patchwork of local laws.

You know what they say, most of the roads leading to loss of individual liberties carry the indication "Perfect personal safety for all"!
