Sounds like MSFT is writing off a good chuck of their $5 billion investment in T. Exceeding revenue guidance is certainly a hopeful sign that the economy isn't grinding to a halt as some have feared. With the PC sector bombed out we can now look for a sustained upturn going into the XP upgrade cycle.
