GSM roaming snip Mario Monti, the EU's competition commissioner, recently told the European parliament that both prices between operators and retail prices for roaming "show an almost complete absence of competition with high and rigid prices." Mr Monti said that prices appear to be converging at one Euro per minute. snip The way the Euro is headed, it may be a very small number in US currency. snip "Roaming charges are intransparent to consumers, rigid and at levels that are unrelated to the cost of carriage," the Commission said on Wednesday.
