Oracle and Wingcast , a joint venture between Ford Motor and Qualcomm , will announce tomorrow that the pair will develop products for the telematics industry. Telematics are wireless communications technologies for automobiles. Apparently the companies are hoping that other states will follow New York's lead in banning cellular phone use while driving, as a national ban would create opportunities for in-car computers.More... biz.yahoo.com ---------- To my experience, "Big" pre-announced Oracle announcements are always anticlimactic... at best.
