Speaking of discount brokers, I was trying to set up a DRIP for my stocks in my discount trading account. The person who answered the phone claimed that even for DRIPs they would still charge a commission to purchase shares after a dividend. Is this true? I remember reading somewhere that it was supposed to be free.
