Disclosure form shows Florida Gov. Bush worth $2 million TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Gov. Jeb Bush's net worth last year was $2,049,000, mostly in a trust, according to his personal financial disclosure form released Wednesday.
Florida ethics law require the governor to file the form detailing his income, assets and liabilities to the state ethics commission.
Mutual funds and other investments in a revocable trust held by Bush were worth $1.6 million. His other assets include $257,000 in vested interest in his former business, Codina Group Inc., and a Coral Gables condominium worth $141,000.
Estimated income tax liability of $181,000 was the governor's largest financial obligation.
Bush's income for 2000 was just over $200,000, including his $117,000 salary as governor. He earned about $61,000 in dividends from his trust, about $11,000 in capital gains and about $11,000 in interest, both from the trust.
Bush, who is the younger brother of President Bush, filed papers earlier this month to seek re-election in 2002. |
