I doubt GDT gets FDA approval on the first go. Not good, but certainly not that bad. The CHF market is a 2004-2005 and on market. 02 and 03 the sales will be there, but not in huge numbers. GDT gets back in this game in first or second half of 03. There are still only three CRM players and since they all play nice on price there exists an oligopoly.

Coated stents from JNJ will bring much more swift pain if they get approval in late 01 or 02. GDT is a year behind here with a different techology than JNJ. Stents did over $200 million for GDT in the first qtr of 01 - a massive market for GDT. Cook Medical looks like they are prettying themselves up for sale and they have an early trial on coated stents that would put GDT on an even/close basis with JNJ with different technology.
