I don't know enough to figure why this might now be happening. I'll guess, but my guesses are often totally wrong:

The alleged "smart" money is buying now because now (???) is the time retailers are placing orders so they (retailers) can be stocked up for Christmas. This "smart" money is represented by industry insiders and analysts who have an understanding of, and/or access to, sales orders. As we get closer to the Christmas selling season, there will be increased interest by the various media in the x-box and in games as a Christmas 'hot item'. This brings these stocks to the attention of retail investors who, coming into the stock, help sustain the momentum. OTOH, a contervailing trend is that the 'smart' money, having by then already made profits, feeds stock (sells) to these new investors. Somewhere along the line (from now to January), you and I and the others on the thread sell out for big profits. (-g-)

Well that's how I would like to believe it's playing out.
