Hi jp,

Yes, I'm a big Jagr fan. My mom called me to tell me the news. She recently became a hockey fan. We both will miss #68. He joined the Pens when he was 18. We got to see him mature into arguably the best hockey player on the planet.

FWIW, I doubt we got adequate compensation in talent....... However, the Pens just don't have the $$ to pay him & field a competitive hockey team.

LOL! I started to write more, but I took a peek at the article you linked. It essentially stated much of what I was going to say anyway.

Our local news covered the story in a big way. The consensus is that this is the beginning of a string of moves planned for the Pens...... they had to complete the Jagr deal before they could make the others....... stay tuned! For me, it's hard to imagine how this trade will allow the Pens to field a better, more competitive team next year. Hopefully the follow up moves will clear up the picture.

Thanks for the info jp.
