some rambling observations:

1) i'm not really retiring(my new job will that of an oil baron(although i'm not sure exactly what they(oil baron) do)

2) it has been suspiciously quiet between the main players recently(bernard and kulibayev's boys are in the back room hatching some big plans i would bet)

3) i read in a news report today that nazarbayev and cheney spoke on wed and that the u.s. energy secretary will be at the novo. russian port on aug 6 along with putin and naz for the not quite official opening of the cpc tanker filling(when one talks with cheney they are talking to the main man(especially in regard to energy))

4) another news report had naz speaking to kazakh businessmen and employing them to invest in the oil prospects of their country( as i've said before, now that the kazakhs have let the foreigners get their oil engine started, it is now time for the countrymen to take advantage of THEIR huge natural resource reserve( it only seems right to me, after all, it is their country)...i just want to be in the companies that are all or mostly kazakh owned, because in the end, they will be the biggest winners( there are at least 2 opinions as to when kazakh will be producing as much as saudi and the latest is 2010)

5) if amerada is paying that much for triton, hhla should not be much behind because we are producing just as much oil and could be on the verge of finding a lot more

i'm sure i'll think of other tidbits and let you know...btw, hhla has some great #'s...$3us/shr earnings and trading at 2.5 earnings.....some eyes will be opened soon....cooliebayev
