Fed's Gramlich sees stronger productivity ahead
WASHINGTON, July 11 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Board Governor Edward Gramlich said on Wednesday that U.S. productivity gains should pick up in the future but conceded that 2001 has not shown a strong performance.

``This has not been a good year for productivity,'' Gramlich said in response to questions at a dinner sponsored by the Rochester Institute of Technology.
