My current read is Saint Néron by French author/philosopher Jean-Charles Pichon... It's fascinating! According to Mr Pichon, Roman Emperor Nero was successfully converted to Christianism by Saint Paul and consequently tried to IMPLEMENT the new religion in his empire... His alleged atrocities committed against the first Christians are merely propaganda by his successors (Trajan, Hadrian,...) to eradicate Christianism from the Roman Empire... Here's a reference:
