Yes, he's so honest he failed to tell his children about his drinking problems, and has passed that baton on to them. When do you think the twins will have another drinking episode?

Barbara's "drinking episode" was that she tried to buy alcohol with a fake id. I think the majority of 19 year olds have had a drink and many of them have fake ids. It is illegal of course but I think it distorts the situation to call it a drinking episode. She didn't pass out or throw a drunken fit in public, or drive drunk.
